Dedicated Server (1.21.132) generates Server ID but clients cannot connect
Hello,
I am trying to run the new Minecraft Education Dedicated Server (version 1.21.132), but clients cannot connect using the Server ID.
The server starts successfully and generates a Server ID, but every client receives a multiplayer connection error.
Example server output:
Server XXXXX successfully hosted in tenant XXXXX at IP:
XXXXX
Client error message:
"Your client is having trouble establishing a connection to multiplayer services. Please check your internet connection, restart your client, and try again.
Multiplayer Connection Faileds"
Environment:
Minecraft Education client: 1.21.132
Dedicated Server: 1.21.132
Tested environments:
- Ubuntu server (cloud VM)
- Windows 11 local machine
- Same PC test (server and client on the same machine)
In all environments the server starts successfully and generates a Server ID, but clients cannot connect.
Troubleshooting already performed:
- UDP port listening confirmed
- Internet connectivity confirmed
- DNS resolution working
- Server ID generation succeeds
However, when attempting to connect using "Enter Server ID", the client always shows:
"Your client is having trouble establishing a connection to multiplayer services. Please check your internet connection, restart your client, and try again.
Multiplayer Connection Faileds"
Question:
Has anyone successfully connected to a Dedicated Server on version 1.21.132?
Is there any known issue with the Server ID relay service or multiplayer connection in this version?
If someone has successfully connected to the Dedicated Server, could you please share your setup (OS and network environment)?
Thank you.
