Minecraft Education connection Issue
Hello. I am having a similar issue. I am in China and we use Minecraft Education Edition each week. However today when we tried logging in, it tells me to check internet connection. This is fine.
Is there a problem with Minecraft Education today?

1. Did you try restarting your machine?
2. Do you have mods (*sad face*) running on your installation?
3. Are multiple stations having the same problem?
4. Are multiple accounts having the same problem?
5. Can you try another device or another location?

Sometimes MCEE misbehaves with the Internet. I find that if I restart my modem and my computer that things get sorted out. I have seen this less with the newest version, though. Are you using the most recent game?

1. Did you try restarting your machine?
Restarted the machines. Reinstalled Minecraft Education Edition. I have a computer lab of 25 machines. We even installed on a fresh computer
2. Do you have mods (*sad face*) running on your installation?
No
3. Are multiple stations having the same problem?
Yes.
4. Are multiple accounts having the same problem?
We have 200+ accounts as part of our Education licence and all are having the same issue
5. Can you try another device or another location?
I have tried on 25 machines and still the same issue. We have tried with and without the VPN. It is linked to Hong Kong due to China rules as we can get away with connecting to HK but not outside the Chinese region.
I did try on my own laptop through my person VPN which connects to San Francisco. This works. The issue seems to be that the Chinese government has blocked Minecraft Education.

There is a list of sites which need to be "whitelisted" for Minecraft to run on your server. Are you able to pass these sites along to your IT department, Anthony Orme and see if they will whitelist them for you? (and btw it is wonderful to work with someone who can troubleshoot, although I am sorry it didn't fix your problem!)

I have a similar issue but the error message is a little different.
"We can't connect to the service you need right now. Please check your internet connection and try again"
It happens sporadically on 3 of the 30 machines in a class. Rebooting doesn't seem to help. Sometimes it will randomly work but it seems to affect the same three machines the majority of the time.

If you add all of our URLs to the allow list that should clear up the issue on the sign in error. URLs Used by Minecraft: Education Edition
