Duplicate in-game name issue
I manage a lab of Windows 11 PCs running 20 licenses of Minecraft Education. We recently encountered the “Invalid Tenant ID” issue and were unable to join worlds until we updated to the latest version of the app.
Now we’re experiencing a different problem. About half of our student accounts are showing duplicate display names in-game, even though each account has a unique email address. In the Microsoft Admin Console, all names appear correctly assigned. However, once logged into Minecraft Education, several users share the same display name, and the system automatically adds a number in parentheses (e.g., Name (1), Name (2)) to differentiate them.
Has anyone found a fix for this so each user’s unique name displays correctly in-game like it used to?

Hey Steven,
The Invalid Tenant ID is a known issue we're aware of. As you noted, it is resolved by getting all apps updated to the same version.
As for the duplicate name issue, this is a new one to me. Would you be open to me converting this into a ticket so we can get more details from you and potentially get this reported as a bug?0
