My Backspace and enter button don't work

My backspace and enter button work everywhere else but not in minecraft edu edition it very annoying because commands,chat and search bar in crafting are restricted

  Hi Joshua Hazelett, 

  I'd be inclined to restore the defaults on your keyboard and mouse settings. 

  1. Click on Settings on the title screen. 

  2. Select Keyboard & Mouse

  3. Scroll to the bottom and click "default settings" and then click "continue" to confirm.
