M1 MacBook issue running Trend Antivirus Software (WFBS)
Hi Support
We are running a new fleet of MacBook M1 devices. The students are unable to run Minecraft also found this issue in MacOS 11 and 12, MacBook Air and Pro with M1. The only solution to get it to run is to uninstall Trend Anitvirus. Minecraft will run. If we reinstall Trend Minecraft will still run for a day or so. Has this been seen before? Are there any files or folder that need to be exempt from AV?

Hi there Jamie Tanner. I'm sorry to hear that there is trouble with the antivirus and Minecraft: Education Edition. Is there any way to add the app as an exception to the antivirus? Can you provide more information about the transition from working to non working? Thank you!

Hi Andrew L
We have added exceptions for:
- /Users/*/Library/Application Support/com.microsoft.minecraftpe- /Applications/minecraftpe.app- /Users/*/Library/Application Support/minecraftpe/*We have also tried disabling scanning on the particular device we are using for testing with no luck.Once we uninstall the Antivirus agent Minecraft logs in without any problems. We can also reinstall Minecraft and it works for a small amount of time until we uninstall Trend Antivirus agent. This behaviour only occurs on M1 devices with both MacOS 11 and 12.Thank you for your supportJamie Tanner0
