Minecraft Education Edition unistalled with latest W10 update
My copy of Minecraft has been completely removed from my PC after the latest Windows 10 update (20H2, build 19042.1526). Nothing remains in 'Program Files (x86) > Microsoft Studios' except empty folders where the sounds, texts, and textures used to be for the Vanilla resource pack.
Fortunately after reinstalling, all my worlds were retained, including player data and inventory. However, I'm going to be making regular backups of my worlds from now on!

Hi, T S - We had a similar issue with the recent update as well (with 27 computers in the lab.) However, after less than a day, many of the files "reappeared" in the menu. I felt like it was an episode of the Twilight Zone - haha!
However, I am a long-time advocate of backups! My saying is, "If I would cry if l lost it, back it up now." Truth be told, I have never actually cried =] but I have felt the sting of lost work often enough that it gets me to stop and get it done!
I'm glad things worked out.
