Im on chromebook from NYCDOE and my Minecraft education edition in broken
Hello to whoever tries to help. So many people have the error message "we cant connect to the service your looking for. Please check you internet and try again"message. I have seen mod posts saying about multiple versions downloaded. I have only 1 version and not the site download. I got it from app store on google chrome. I kept uninstalling and installing the app. It dosent work. Please fix the bug. Also everytime it says "taking you to your orginasaton sign in page" it dosent and takes me to the error message. Ive been trying every mod post about checking for multiple versions. Please fix.

For right now, let me just be sure that a few things are set. On a Chromebook, be sure your wifi is completely set up. I know on our network at school, on the lower right corner, there can be a message from our wifi login about problems. These have to be resolved. Since this post is on a weekend, I also am wondering if you also need to make sure your Chromebook can sign in to your home and school internet. Be sure you are not signed into a personal email, but only your school email, just to be sure there are no complications. Any of these can create actual internet problems, as opposed to Minecraft connection problems.
I assume you are seeing the sign-in page? and that you are using your school email account to sign in? Is that when the error is occurring? Please let us know. We want to help.

Thank you for the response. The error is happening when the microsoft sign in happens. I put my school email. Then the message "taking you to your orginization sign-in page" pops up. Then the game reloads into the message.
Also I have extremely good wifi. Plus I didnt bring this device, my dad did (im a kid) and my wifi is set up.
Also by multiple versions does it mean multiple ways of getting the game?

i am also on chromebook and it was working a few days ago but now it wont work for some reason it says "taking you to your orginization sign-in page" when i press sign in and it just reload pls fix this bug

Frequently I find when seeing issues with chromebooks, in addition to what Deborah has posted, I would also suggest:
1) Making sure your chromebook OS is up to date - Click on the clock>Settings>About Chrome OS and check for updates. Restart when prompted.
2) If your chromebook is already up to date, shut down the chromebook and then turn it on again by clicking on the clock, then the power button to properly shut it down. Press the power button to turn it back on.
Chromebooks can start exhibiting really weird issues if they are not shut down and updated from time to time.
Additionally, chromebooks frequently run very low on space (they don't have a lot of local storage to begin with). Ask your IT admins at your school about having the profiles cleared. This also resolves a lot of issues.

So that comment about the "taking you to your organizations sign in" tell me that a portal is tied to your school account. The message about reaching your organization might be your only option to take a look at why the login portal they setup is failing. Your schools IT department may need to reach out to that portal support to find out what's going on with it.
The multiple versions if for windows devices where Minecraft Education can be installed twice if they go to our webpage and the Microsoft store and download from both. Chromebooks do not have this issue since you can only get it from the store.
You can check your end by making sure that no antivirus or network security is blocking that login portal communication. I would try to allow list Minecraft Education and that portal address if you are able to get that to see if it helps the login issue. Let us know your findings.1 -
Hi. Thank you for the response. Le me explain how things go on. I was given this device by my dad and he is a teacher. I dont go to his school where he teaches. Also I am a student. I wish I can send evedince of what is going on. I go to sign in. I sign in. The message of the app redirecting me to the page shows then the game reloads. Then the error appears. I am also 8 so I need easy words. My dad doesent have contact to his IT admin. I can make a video on youtube make it unlisted and show what is the error is about.

Sorry about that. You are signing in with your school's email, correct? Don't worry about anything with your dad that shouldn't affect you with this unless his school set something up on that device. Is there an error code or message you can send me?

The message is always the same "We cant connect to the service you need. Please check your internet and try again"
The error code is 500580 -
Well would you look at that. I just opened the error info and logged in and it just logged me in properly. I didnt get any error message. No "We cant connect to the service you need." I was redirected to the nycdoe login on the app and I logged in and MCEE was good to go. I am not sure what happened or why.

Did it start working after you connected to the school's network? That portal login is used by your school, and you would need to login to that portal first before Minecraft Education would be able to see your account correctly.

I am not sure. (Something with my dad) My dad said that he fixed the issue, making me think that it is now connected to the school network (he didnt tell me what happened).I just did the normal steps, Press sing in and put the info, get redirected, and login the and done! I am too scared to ask my dad lol.
I am kinda unsure what happened. I also have another glitch when i open the app it says the error message I talked about after it loads but still works whats up with that? Also why does my app glitch once after a moment its weird.

I am unsure since it's you're your dad's device and it sounds like there are some settings that go along with that.

Ok I dont know if this is a bug or not but every time I login now it says "No certificates found" and then tells me to download one or go on and play without one.

Sounds like a secure Internet issue that we won't be able to solve here.
