Cannot install Minecrat Education with windows 11
Some of our pupils that have their computers updated to windows 11 cannot install or use Minecraft Education. Education doesn't want to work properly, showing problems as - not connected to the internet (when internet is working via browser), cannot log in (but teams on the same computer works fine with the same profile), cannot download the installation file from the website nor the Microsoft Store (computer doesn't allow to be installed, some times you can download it, but not install it).
At this stage we do not recommend anyone in our school to update to win11, as it just doesn't work with Minecraft Education. What could be a fix for this?

For the download issue, can you let me know what browser you are using, where you are going to download, and what the error code is once the install fails? As for the login error with not being connected to the internet, that might be occurring if these are windows devices and multiple installs are on the device. Try removing one and see if it lets you login.

Well they have tried multiple browser, however, none have worked. Sometimes the exe. file works if we sent them one externally but still no consistency as with some windows 11 laptops it hasn't resolved anything.
And there is no actual error code, usually it is simply a white Minecraft Education window. They can open their Minecraft EE window and log in, when logging in, microsoft log window disappears and then it's a white window.
About the internet problem - some of our pupils have managed to access our school IP lessons but it isn't consistent - some weeks it works and in some it doesn't. We cannot really find where the problem is, as we haven't had anything similar with windows 10 but with windows 11, almost every third pupil have a similar problem.
Still this is a mystery for us!0 -
Would it be alright if I create a ticket for you in our system to see if we can troubleshoot this further? One thing to check might be the permissions and running the install as an admin. The white window not letting you login could be an antivirus blocking that communication or a portal setup by the school for SSO and that might be erroring out. Lots of pieces to look into and I would recommend you work with your IT admin if you are not already.

About the ticket - Sure thing.
Regarding the admin part, yeah, I am a part of the admin team, and we cannot really find an answer to this one. I guess I need to explain how exactly our school works, we don't really have a certain "school" as per say. We teach online, our teachers are online and our pupils are all around Europe, our teachers are all over Latvia, and well it isn't really from our side we can do much if we get this error, as you cannot really go to our pupils homes and help them. Thus we need to provide some time of help via e-mail or phone. As our team is quite big and the locations vary we have multiple ports and multiple internet providers to deal with!
We have tried to disable the antivirus or the firewall, but it hasn't worked at this stage for anyone with this error. We are with our wits end with this problem and only pupils with w11 have had this problem, thus we concluded it must have been connected0 -
does this issue still occur?

You shouldn't have any issues downloading on Windows 11.
