    Hi Allison McGrath

I'd need to see your specific command block sequence to get an idea of where things are failing.

I could take a look at your world for you if you like? Let me know and I'll have one of the admins share our emails.

Hi, Allison McGrath - I am intrigued by your idea for this world! It sounds great! Are you implementing it somewhat like this (You mentioned regrouping with a video) ?

    https://education.minecraft.net/en-us/lessons/make-a-regrouping-video

IOW, you ask a math question (like what is 124 plus 46) and the students make stack of blocks for the three digits, like a stack for hundreds, a stack for tens and a stack for ones? so they would make a stack of one block for the hundreds, and seven blocks for the tens (regrouping!) and no ones, and then activate a command block, which would check the height of each stack? Wow!

I can see how building each number with blocks is a part of the students building their knowledge of base ten numbers.

Would it also help you if there were number blocks in Minecraft, where they could answer math problems by just choosing a 1 block, a seven block and a zero block, put down the three blocks, and test for those three blocks? I am interested in those resources myself, so I was curious. =D

I'd love to hear more about your world, in any event!

Yes, I am trying to set it up to be like the world you posted above. I haven't finished the world yet. But the students would be subtracting with 3 digit numbers. The problems would be displayed similar to the lesson 'make a regrouping video'. I will let you know when I finish it :)

Hi Debbie Alexander I finished the world without the command blocks if you were still interested I could send it to you to look at.

I'm so glad you had success! I don't know if you are on twitter and can find me there, or Dan Noble can pass my email along to you. I'd love to see the creative solution you devised!

    Thanks for including me!
