    Hi Waqas AHMED

I would try the following first:

    1) Update your chromebook by clicking on the clock in the lower right corner>Settings>About Chrome OS and clicking update. Restart the device once it's finished.

    2) If the OS is already up to date, click on the clock, and press the shutdown button and then turn the device back on.

In my experience, weird things happen to chromebooks if they don't get power cycled and updated frequently.

Is your chromebook a personal device or a school owned device, by the way?

Hi there Waqas AHMED, you may need to contact your school's IT admin and see if they're able to run an update on your device for you.

  • I would check with the school and make sure the licensing is up to date.
