Unable to login - Sign-In panel hanging
Hi All,
We are running MCEE on a home laptop and has stopped allowing us to sign in but is not giving an error message - it simply hangs at the 'Sing-in Required' panel.
- We are running v1.14.70
- We have attempted to remove and re-install the application, reboot laptop etc (there are not two versions installed)
- We have ensured internet connectivity is fine
We do have multiple Microsoft 360 accounts and so I am wondering if there is some form of credentials caching in the application that is getting us stuck?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Jon

I'm sorry not to be able to suggest a solution. I know that the new version does handle sign-on a bit differently. I used to be able to retain my sign-on, but now have to sign in each time. My situation is like yours in that I have two 365 accounts on the same computer, one for my school account, and the other for the personal copy I have to have locally on the machine.
If it persists any longer, I suggest a help ticket so you can give your machine info etc. and get specific help. Justin - is this about right?

Hey, thanks Deborah. So the new update shouldn't have affected sign in from my knowledge. Deborah it sounds like you have the SSO feature disabled in settings > profile > Enable Single Sign On. This actually sounds like it may be Jon Randle's solution if he can turn it on.
Jon, you mentioned that you have two M365 accounts. Minecraft: Education Edition will attempt to sign on with the login you use to sign into your computer. However, if that doesn't work, it is supposed to allow you to sign in with another account. You could ensure that you're logging into the computer with the M365 account that has access to Minecraft: Education Edition and see if it allows you in. If it does and you want to sign into the computer with the other account, you can disable the above mentioned Single Sign on feature in profile settings.
However, since the app is hanging at the sign in, it sounds more like a connection issue. I'd ensure that port 19132 TCP/UDP is forwarded through your router and that your firewall/antivirus has Minecraft: Education Edition allowed through it. If the issue persists, writing in a ticket may be best: https://aka.ms/MEE_New_Request1 -
Thanks Deborah, Justin, I really appreciate the help.
I suspect turning Single Sign On off sounds like a sensible option but unfortunately I can't log into into my profile to turn it off!
I've tried turning firewall off completely but still no luck. I've also managed to confirm the port forwarding is working through the router so I will go ahead and raise a ticket.
Thanks once again and, for what it's worth, the Kids think the MEE platform is fantastic - you are all doing a fantastic job!
