Subtitles
Minecraft Java edition includes subtitles so players can read the actions taking place in the game that are based on audio. This seems like a very important inclusive component for Education Edition - not only does it help students with hearing impairments, it also helps students who might not have headphones and play with their sound turned down, or students learning another language who then have onscreen support.

We have actually been experimenting with a new way to visualize audio in the game, and we released an experimental build that contains this concept to the new Xbox Accessibility Insider's League program. If you have a chance to take a look, I'd be interested to know how you feel the visual audio concept compares to text based subtitles. Introducing the Xbox Accessibility Insider League - Xbox Wire
We are going to be releasing some updated builds to the program soon based on user feedback, so keep an eye on the XAIL communications.

I am a Deaf father and I would like to understand what's happening on Minecraft Education Edition. I installed Minecraft Java and enabled captioning and this was very helpful.
Please add captioning to the Education Edition ASAP.

I play MC ed a lot and the strategies I use to speedrun on Java all include subtitles and it would be really nice to be able to use those in education edition :)

I think it would be nice to add all mechanics from Java into the education edition cause then my friends who don't own Minecraft Java Edition can play with the same functionality as Java. please add it into 1.21
