Minecraft EDU Lag/hosting

I play Minecraft EDU a lot and lets just say the servers are very weak. Even on a high-end PC, it will lag when hosting with around 15 people. And this hosting thing, ABSURD, its very inconvenient. I wish the servers were as strong as real MC (able to support sometimes thousands of people, without having "host".
