My class' Minecraft world keeps crashing after recent update

My students have been working on projects in a shared world for the entire semester. Ever since the recent update to MC:EE our game world has been crashing frequently and seemingly randomly. It happens both when I run the world solo and when I am hosting for students. The end of the school year is approaching fast and my students need to be able to document all of their work. Is there a way that I can reverse the update (revert to the previous version) so that I can host my world for my students to finish their months-long projects without it crashing?
