Importing the MakeCode Links
How do I import the MakeCode links in the Coding with Minecraft Student Guide. I have tried the link provided and it doesn't work when I try to import it. The link works when I click on it in the guide but it doesn't connect to minecraft that way. Please help! Thanks

Does this article help you? The screenshots are just small snips, but if you open the code window, you will see the parts you need.

I have this issue still.
I have tried importing the url found in the lessons of the Coding with Minecraft units, but it will not load into Makecode while in Minecraft edu.How are educators giving out the tutorials for the students? Just in another browser window?
(We are on Chromebooks)0 -
Hi, Christine Hogen-Esch - I'm so glad to hear that you are teaching coding! I haven't used Chromebooks to teach coding in Minecraft much. (We use desktops more often.) However, I am curious to know which lessons you are trying to access, and if you have tried getting to them through the library at all? Lets collaborate!
Just to clarify, the article you linked to is about sharing a specific piece of code, for example a student's work re-creating Chicken Rain, or how to build a wall with the Agent. This would not be a link to a tutorial.
The url to a Coding with Minecraft lesson is a link to a world, not code. So, since you are already in a world, that's not what you want. You want to get to a world from the first thing, from when you sign in PLAY > VIEW LIBRARY > SUBJECT KITS > COMPUTER SCIENCE
Hope this helps!

Yup, I'm having the same problem here (in 2023). I'm trying to import this link found in the student workbook (Coding with Minecraft 2: Events):
I click the import button in MakeCode, select Import URL, paste the link and click Go Ahead and Minecraft comes back with "Sorry the Project URL looks invalid"
I'm really stuck on this now.

Hey Keith,
I was able to import the link, but it took a few tries for some reason. I followed the link in 2 different browsers and it is the same thing I imported. However it doesn't look like there is any code completed in it. It is a tutorial for the 'Yellow Brick Road' activity:
