Limit student access
In my class, my students enjoy Minecraft so much, that they sneak playing it and create and share worlds with one another instead of working on their assignments. The worlds I am able to share have more features and many do work towards earning the codes for the ones I provide. I also have students learning virtually from home and one mom went to the district to have the app removed totally from the district laptop because she was tired of fighting with her child to stay off Minecraft and do his assignments first. I want to use Minecraft more and I don't want it to interfere with other assignments or cause frustration for families. I would like there to be a way to prevent students from playing and exploring in Minecraft without teacher permission. That will motivate them to work towards earning those codes while also learning from the various lessons the teacher has assigned within Minecraft.

Do you have a code

Yes, I have a code and I send them to my students who complete all of their work, privately. However, my students have also told me that they can create their own worlds and send out their own codes which make the motivation to complete work to attain the code pointless.
