Student using district managed Chromebook cannot download software, despite our Minecraft for Education license.
My students are using Chromebooks managed by the school district. We have a Minecraft for Education license, and many students are able to access it with no problems at all. However, I have one student who cannot get it downloaded. We tried to download the software (Chromebook edition), but he received an error message in the Google Play store - something along the lines of "Your administrator has not given you permission to access this item." But we have a Minecraft for Education license and the administrator has definitely given permissions for the download. How can we resolve this?

Hi Emily Phillips - I'm sorry to hear that you are running into issues downloading Minecraft: Education Edition. It sounds like your students are using managed devices, which your school tech support configures. I would recommend you contact your school tech support and ask them to check that the device is configured correctly, and has permission to access the app through the store. This guide has more information about managing Minecraft: Education Edition on the Chromebook: https://educommunity.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/360047750851
