Problem With NPC's

Hey,

I am a student and I have project that needs to be turned in tommorow at 9AM GMT. However I am unable to turn it in as one of my key items to include is NPC's. So basically another person in my group was messing around with commands in the chat and did something so I couldn't spawn mobs and other things, I asked him to revert this so I could spawn NPC's and he did, but I couldn't just grab a egg and spawn an NPC like in the tutorial. Instead I have to summon them using a command as shown here:

/summon Minecraft:npc

So when I spawn in the NPC, I am not able to edit anything on the npc or delete it. Thats a problem as it is in the way. Ive tried doing the command: /kill @e but it makes no difference.

im just wondering if anyone can help as im really stressed that I won't have it ready for Tommorow at 9am. But anyway thanks for reading this :)
