More uses for chemistry items

Can we have uses for more of the chemistry items? There are a lot of fun things that you can do with the chemistry equipment already, but I feel like the other compounds are being left out. Can we have uses for more of the chemistry items? Like say, for instance, oil can be used in furnaces and related blocks, maybe even a new block that works like a power generator/engine; and maybe benzene could be used to make nylon, which could be used to make stronger Leads. Any responses and/or ideas are appreciated!
