Can my son participate in the Earth Day challenge

I don't play Minecraft but my son loves it. Do I need to set up a new Minecraft Education account, or can he participate in the Earth Day and other projects through his own account?

  Hi Patricia Ward!  I'm glad your son loves Minecraft.

  If your son organization uses Office 365 Education, then he will be able to download and login to Minecraft: Education Edition at home.  The easiest way to check if your son has access to Minecraft: Education Edition through his school is to download the app and have him login with his school email address and password.  If his school is using Office 365 he will have 10 trial logins - and if his school has purchased licenses, he will have full access.
