continually says cannot connect to world and gives no explanation

  Hi TRYSTIAN DERENGOWSKI   

  You will need to be on the same tenant that the person that is hosting the world is on... that is you all need to have the same @domain name in your login. 

  Additionally if you are trying to join a world across the internet, anyone hosting the world will need to make sure they've enabled certain ports for forwarding on their home router. More information on this, here.
