in-game music not working - help!

I play MEE on a Chromebook and there is no in-game music whatsoever, I have seen posts with the same problem and apparently, music is 'unavailable'. The thing is though, my friends play on windows and they can both hear the game music, and jukeboxes too! So I don't know if it's just the Chromebook version or what but I LOVE the Minecraft music and I want to hear it, thanks.
