How do I fix "Sign-In Required - We can't connect to the service you need right now. Please check your internet connection and try again."
I need help on fixing this problem. Every time I click "sign in" it just pops up again. My internet connection is fine at my school and everybody else is able to play. I'm using a school thinkpad. I have the desktop verison of Minecraft Education Edition. Please help me.

Hi Osmany,
Sorry to hear you're having difficulties.
This issue is usually caused on Windows 10 laptops when there are two installs of Minecraft Education Edition installed.
Go to Start>Settings>Apps.
Look for Minecraft Education Edition; there should be two listed. Click on and uninstall the oldest one.
This should resolve your problem.
If you don't have access to these settings, you'll need to reach out to your school's IT people.
Let us know how you make out!

Alright, thank you for letting me now. I'll get back to you when the IT team uninstalls it.

No problem! Have them install the latest version while they're at it, and if they have any issues they can put in a support ticket with us here: Submit a request – Minecraft: Education Edition Support

I have the same problem but on home PC. Hubby solved this for me (wish I could take the credit)
PROBLEM
From Windows Start Icon. Two or more versions of MEE listed. Right click to uninstall only shows one instance. Uninstall and reinstall does not solve the problem.
SOLUTIONClick Windows icon > Settings > Apps and Features> Right click uninstall the extra / unwanted version.

The same thing happened to me too, but on a chrome book.
All the things you guys did didn't work for me.

Hello Dan Noble, I've uninstalled the other version of Minecraft Education Edition but it still says the same. :c

I'd try restarting the computer, and see if that helps.

Sadly, it didn't work.

I'm not able to uninstall it, it says I need administrator permissions.

You'll need to contact your school's IT team for support.

I had this problem!
you need to run the app as an admin if all else fails.

So I'm my school's "guinea pig" with MEE and we have really tight restrictions on the internet. The IT support got rid of the restrictions for me but it still came up. I tried at home because I have better internet there but it kept coming up. Please reply ASAP as I need this for an assignment that's 25% of my DT marks.
