Why can't I open MC bedrock worlds in MC edu?

Hi there, I'm trying to open a Minecraft bedrock world into Minecraft education. Why can't I open it? It says that the world has been opened in a higher version of the game so I can't open it. Please fix it. I need to do so for a school project. Thanks.
