Stuck on "Downloading Resources"...

I have a student who was successfully using v1.14.31 on his Mac but since updating to v1.14.50 is stuck on a screen that says "Downloading Resources" when he launches Minecraft. I had him uninstall (even the hidden files in ApplicationSupport) and reinstall, but still the same problem. Any idea how to fix this?

  Hay Mr Kyle I was playing today and my game crashed and when I closed it I went back in the game and it ask me to put my email in an I put my email in and it did not let me in can you help me please

  Hello! My student on the NYCDOE iPad loaded Minecraft Education edition. It says Downloading Resources. I had him go back. He is still stuck on the page. Any ideas on how to fix it? Let me know please! Thank you.
