Option for Mulitplayer for School Owned Devices / Can't Port Forward
Having an option for Mulitplayer for School Owned Devices / Can't Port Forward needs to exist. My school board (one of the largest in Canada), pays for the software yet it is very hard to use once any user is outside of a school building.
Issues Examples:
- Learning at home - most kids can't (and shouldn't) change router settings
- Teaching at schools with remote students - most schools block this port, too
Solution ideas:
1. IF we use our personal, home devices to make the server taking the risk on our personal devices instead, we need to:
- Allow for keeping a sign-in active / restart on login add on software for teachers
- OR allow choosing the login code to allow for restarts without needing to give new codes
- OR integrate with "Google Classroom" to auto add students (so no code is needed)
2. Have a Microsoft hosted port-forward/server link
3. Use a different forwarding method
4. Allow for a school to host a sub-server for Minecraft Education so home users would have access via a domain-controlled list
Now...that is a 10 minute list by a teacher.
Come on, Thompson Microsoft and others

Hello Adam Quraishi,
Thanks so much for sharing your innovative ideas! We know our current multiplayer experience is not idea for for the remote learning scenarios that many educators have no found themselves in. I'll be sure and share your feedback with our larger team.
With that being said we hope to have a solution in the future that will alleviate many of the pain points you described. Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Thanks!
