Students cannot connect to World with NYC DOE iPad
Hello,
I would like to try to have this resolved before next week for Hour of Code.
I host a world, and student with NYC DOE iPads cannot connect. The connection gets lost. Right now we are full remote. When students were in the building it worked. Now that they are home, it doesn't work.
Any ideas how I can resolve this?

Hi there Nora Mulligan, I'm sorry to hear about the issues connecting. If you are hosting from your personal network at home, you may need to make sure that port 19312 is open on your router. You can find steps to do this at the link below:

I hope this helps!

Thank you! I will try that.
Do you think that would be an issue even if students on non-DOE iPads are able to join?

It should work regardless of the device. Just to let you know though, we are aware of issues that are keeping iPad users from accessing the library currently. So if you are having additional problems there connecting, we're looking into it.

Hi there,
I'm currently working with students who are at home, working remotely. They are not able to sign into MineCraft Ed edition, even-though it's installed in the NYC DOE iPad.
I also have students using Windows OS who were able to install the software but when they are tying to sign in they receive an error message telling them that there is no internet connection, but they are able to present their screen through Google Meets, meaning that they are already online.
How can I help my student resolve these issues?
