sign in dificulty

I've downloaded Minecraft but when I attempted to sign in I get a message box that says unable to connect even though my internet connection is stable for all my other programs. my administrator told me to contact you as she was unable to solve the problem. please help.

  When connecting at school, has your administrators updated their allowed urls list? You can find a list of urls to allow here:

  If from home, we recommend following the steps in the following guide below:

  There are steps below on what URLs need to be allowed through on routers for the game to function correctly there as well. I hope this helps!
