Wall Mounted Sign and Python
I'm trying to automate some the building of some structures that I can use across multiple classes using Python. What I'd really like to be able to do is create wall mounted signs with text on them in my Python code.
I've tried using the block ID for the sign but it doesn't mount to the wall, plus I don't know how to modify the text.

Good idea Jeffrey MEAD! Wondering-Chris Fuge Bryan Sanders (archived) Dan Noble any thoughts?

From my experience with commands, the /setblock command appears somewhat limited to what it can do in Edu compared with the Java version. The full syntax to place signs with text doesn't seem to work.
So I would suspect that those limitations would extend to trying to do them in Python.
I'd love to be proven wrong here I can imagine a number of uses for this capability.
