Purchase personal license or link to Minecraft Java edition on MAC

Hi

My school is not allowing me to purchase the license for MEE through the school. Is there a way I can purchase a personal license and link it to my school account?

Alternatively, I also saw that one can link Minecraft Java edition to do block based coding as well. However that linkage does not seem to be possible on MAC. 

I have a Macbook. Please suggest what can I do to do block based coding within Minecraft.
