Hosting world on school network
Like most school systems, we are using private IP addresses behind firewalls and routers, with NATted internet IP addresses. We would like to be able to host worlds on school devices and allow students to join the worlds from home.
Currently, we have the firewall port required open, and users on the school network can join worlds hosted elsewhere. However, students from home attempting to join worlds on the school network can enter the join codes and see the name of the world, but never receive a successful connection.
1 - how do they get the correct world name by entering the join code? is that from the hosting machine, or is that data from the cloud?
2 - is it possible to host worlds behind NATted IP addresses?

Hi Jimmy Pack. I'm happy to answer your questions. The hosting machine generates the join code for other players to use. In regards, it is possible to host worlds behind NATted IP addresses. For more information there, I recommend opening up a ticket with us directly so we can go in depth here. I hope this helps!
