Students unable to log in to MEE accounts
This morning my students were able to install, launch and log into the game from school computers fine. However, the subsequent classes have not been able to. When we open Microsoft Store, it won't let most of them install the game. If it does download, it tells them "Something went wrong. Try checking your internet connection" and won't sign them in. The interface looks completely different also.

Thanks for posting Courtney Redfield. For the "something went wrong message.." there needs to be an additional URL allowed on the network. This post has it covered: https://educommunity.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/360074499211-Students-can-t-log-in-after-1-14-50-Update

Can you share a screenshot of the Microsoft Store download and error?

Hi there Courtney Redfield, I'm sorry to hear your students aren't able to log into the game. In this case I'd make sure that all students are logged into their Office365 Education accounts. You may also need them to log in with some space between since sometimes, depending on local bandwidth, there can be some difficulties logging in when large groups of students are trying to access the app all at once. I've provided a link with more troubleshooting steps below:

If this continues, please feel free to open up a ticket with us directly. I hope this helps!

The store just spins the "install" button. Here are other errors they are receiving.

My district support says it has to do with the update from yesterday. When will this be resolved?

On a computer with the issue, can you go to Start>Settings>Apps.
Scroll down the list of apps... how many versions of Minecraft do you see there?

Logging into their Office 365 accounts, and having that window open did not resolve the issue.
