When I try to open Minecraft it doesn't work-SOLVED
It started when I tried to log in but it said that there was a script error. So I deleted Minecraft and re-downloaded it but now when I try to open it an error comes up saying: access denied.
PLEASE HELP

Hey i tried that but it still doesn't work any other ideas? Its still comes up with the same message.

So, the error is saying that the installer might not have the correct permissions. Are you able to download from our site here: Download | Minecraft Education Edition? If you can then move the installer from the downloads folder to your desktop. Once the file is moved right click it and select the option run as administrator.

There can be several reasons for this error. So, I will try to cover every potential fix here.
- Fresh download the setup file
- Remove all the previous versions of the Software (I think this might be what's going on)
- Install using Admin permission
- Run the application in Compatibility Mode
- Re-register vbscript.dll file (instructions below)
- From the WinX Menu, open Command Prompt as Administrator, type the following and press the Enter key:
regsvr32.exe vbscript.dll
The above process will re-register the concerned DLL file using the Windows OS tool regsvr32.exe. The Regsvr32 tool is a command-line utility used to register and unregister OLE controls as DLL and ActiveX (OCX) control in the Windows operating system.
You will see the following message if it runs successfully – DllRegisterServer in vbscript.dll succeeded.
