cant join worlds or others cant join you
i have version 1.12.62 and i cant join any worlds, im on the same wifi and internet but i cant join any worlds. Another thing is that other poeple cant join my worlds and there using the same internet and wifi.

Students who are playing on an iPad 7, cannot connect on a local server.
Whilst trying to connect “trying to connect to external server”
”unable to join”
We have tried various hosting machines, PC, IPad versions, the only common factor was the iPad 7.
Yes they have the same version, we tried uninstalling and reinstalling. We tried using a direct connect with an IP and with the picture code.

Brian Silvas I moved this post to our "I have a technical problem" forum.
For the issues with 1.12.62 I would definitely upgrade to our latest version, which had some updates for the multiplayer connection from home issues.

Michael GIRODAT it sounds like you are having issues connecting within a network. One thing to check is that the devices are open to all of the URLs on our allow list, which you can find in our IT Admin Guide: https://educommunity.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/360047118992-FAQ-IT-Admin-Guide-
Also, some of the newer iOS devices (iOS 14) require you to specifically allow an application to communicate across the network. Make sure Minecraft: Education Edition has permission to communicate across your local network in the Privacy settings.

But me and my friend are not trying to connect locally and it still doesn’t work will it work it one of us is on a different version?

hey i have the same problem but my friend and i dont have the same interent or wifi and we're tryng toplay this on break.
