How do you play Minecraft+Oregon Trail?

I am not understanding how to make the caravan/oxen start moving and get started in the actual game. help!

  With this world you need to make sure you are reading everything and talking to the NPCs. You cannot start out until you have all of your supplies. There are NPCs around that have Trail Learning over their heads and they will walk you through how to get everything set up before you leave. I would also partner with your teacher to make sure you are in the correct world for the assignment.
