Licensing Question
We have 30 student enrolled in our Minecraft class. I often don't have time to prep in the computer lab. Is it possible to download a second copy of the Minecraft Education Edition on another school computer? I want more time to prepare lessons/worlds at home. If it is possible, please supply me with directions.

Hi Carrie,
Licenses are not tied to computers, they are attached to your Office 365 Education account. This allows you to download a copy for your use at home (or wherever you want to install Minecraft: Education Edition).
This information can be found in our FAQ:
> Can I give copies of the software to my students to use at home?
Students are able to use Minecraft: Education Edition at home by signing in using their Minecraft: Education Edition login.
(basically, yes, home use is allowed if your network administrator allows use of these accounts off campus)
And the download can be found here:

Thank you for that information. Perhaps you can help or direct me to someone who can help with another problem. I purchased a license in September and used MEE with students last fall. Now when I go into the program, it says your free trial has expired and will not let me login to use it. I can manage my students on the website but cannot use the program. I've had tried repeatedly to contact someone at Microsoft Education to help but no luck. I plan to use MEE with students on Wednesday and would love this to be resolved. My district IT say there is nothing they can do on our side. Is this true??? Thank you again for your time responding! 0 -
Hey Carrie - appreciate that follow up question. If you contact Store support at http://aka.ms/edustoresupport - they will be able to help you navigate the licensing issues you are encountering (you could contact our support, but this is the more direct route to reach the store for any and all licensing issues, quirks and account issues you may encounter, and given your description, they should be able to sort that out for you with the least amount of delay). 0 -
I have sent numerous support request for this issue in the past week, but as of yet have not had one response. I am frustrated and know my students are going to be very disappointed if they can not access their accounts. 0 -
Feel free to contact aka.ms/meesupport with any details (ticket numbers would be stellar) and we'll do our best to hunt down the support trail you followed up with and get things back on track so you can focus on having a great experience with your students! 0 -
Just spoke to technical support and they said to put yet another request in because they couldn't help me. So sad that you can't talk with someone who can just solve the problem. My 30 students are going to be very upset tomorrow when we can't access the program. 0 -

If you send us your contact information using the form at https://education.minecraft.net/support/contact-us/get-in-touch/ (or go to the contact page and pick the Minecraft: Education gameplay link) - if needed, we can arrange a time to troubleshoot and get you back up-and-running. Looking forward to hearing from you soon. 0
