The letter 'a' makes previous dissapear when writing in 1.7.1

Whenever a user writes the letter 'a' in a word the previous letters dissapear.

Example:

In the inventory try and write the word 'slab' will only type 'ab'

  I have also experienced this issue on Mac and Windows 10 with the latest version of M:EE 1.7.1. If I use code builder, for example, and create a chat command 'pyramid', when I open the chat window and type /pyra, inputting the 'a' deletes all the preceding characters so i end up with only 'a' in the command line. I have had to avoid using the letter a in any commands I create in code builder.

  When I do it it's only with signs I wish it would work me and my school are using survival, they are trying to make farms to teach us what farming was like
