Cannot Launch MEE on MacBook
Hi,
I just attempted to update my MacBook to the latest version of Minecraft and keep getting this error:
“Minecraft: Education Edition” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software.
This software needs to be updated. Contact the developer for more information.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That error is an apple security feature. The work-around is pretty easy:
1) Find the application icon for MineCraft EE in your Applications folder.
2) Hold down the Control key while you double-click the icon.
You should get a pop-up asking if you want to open the application, and you do.
That should eliminate future issues.

Doube-clicking didn't work, but control-clicking > Open did the trick. Thanks so much!

Neither double-clicking and control-clicking did the trick on the Macbook. Does Apple or Microsoft know about this issue?
