365 licences
Hello I am looking to take advantage of the free education version of Minecraft while children are remote learning at school. However I understand this free option comes with a requirement to pay for a 12 month subscription to office 365 on an A3 license as a minimum. Is this correct? if so I’m not sure we can call it free access. This is particularly frustrating as we have children age as little as two years old in the school who have no reason for the office suite
Please can somebody point me in the right direction for setting up applicable 365 accounts for minecraft use to make use of the current free access.

Hi Matthew-
It may be possible that your children's school uses Office 365 Education, in which case they will be able to download and login to Minecraft: Education Edition at home. You can check if their school is eligible by following instructions on our new Minecraft: Education Edition for Remote Learning Guide. If the account is eligible, you will have access through the end of June.
If your school does not have access to an Office 365 Education account there are many other educational opportunities using the Minecraft Bedrock and Java editions. The Minecraft Franchise recently released a collection of free Educational worlds that can be accessed on the Bedrock version of Minecraft: https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/article/free-educational-content-minecraft-marketplace-
We've also created a guide to explore Learning with Minecraft Bedrock and Java. This guide has information about educational activities in the consumer versions of Minecraft, including coding in Minecraft, Chemistry, Minecraft challenges and more. Please check this guide again in the near future as we'll be updating our guides with new resources.
We do understand how important it is to make Minecraft: Education Edition available to everyone, and are actively investigating what types of new subscription models we can offer. We hope to have more news about this in the near future.0
