Open MCtemplate in Minecraft education

Hi,

I can't open or import the World Wildlife Extinction template, it's an mctemplate.  I saw another post for this same issue but there wasn't a clear answer on how to resolve it.

  Hi, can you provide more details on how you opened the template and any errors that you saw?

  The way this should work is:

  1. Double-click on the template file, and it will be imported into the game as a template.
  2. Click Play and then Create New
  3. Click the Templates option and you'll see a list of available templates.  If the WWF template has imported correctly, you should see it in this list.  You may need to scroll to find it.
  4. Click on the WWF template and then click Create New to create a new world based on this template

  Which operating system do you use? If you are using MacOS, the mctemplate file does not open. Try changing the extension to mcworld and importing it in Minecraft. I can open it this way.
