1-Tick Pulses

Well, I was trying to make a T Flip-Flop, when suddenly, I realized that when repeaters and pistons come into contact with a 1-tick pulse, they act as if it had never happened. The same thing happens when the come into contact with a 1-tick pulse clock; they always stay on. Also, if you do make pistons react to 1 tick pulses, be sure to make sticky pistons spit their blocks and take them back, like in Java.
