Bug when copying worlds
I seem to be finding all of the major bugs.
So while in the middle of a Unit of Work for the students using a world we created, I thought it would be a good idea to create a copy of the world as a backup.
Now, both the copy and the original have bugged all of the player information. When students log on they spawn exactly where I spawned in the world, with the items I have in my inventory (meaning all of theirs are wiped) and with my gamemode settings (creative when they are meant to be survival).
I would have thought that copying a world would have copied everything, including player data. Now it has completely set back my lesson. Students started causing instant chaos from the moment they spawned in the same location all on creative. Due to them losing all of their on-hand items I have had to give them each a full stack of diamonds as compensation which has completely unbalanced my game.

Hi Chris,
This is strange. It most likely has to do something with the world being created on an older version and being opened on a newer version. You can send me the world and I can poke around. v-kymcmu@microsoft.com

I have this exact problem. Happens on many different worlds.
Any time I export a world, and re import it. All player data is wiped and everyone given what I have in my inventory as well as my game settings.0 -
