Home usage of 365 Minecraft Education Edition Accounts

A question came up in a workshop I ran yesterday for teachers who are just starting out with Minecraft Education Edition. Our query was about whether students would be able to use their 365 account access to Minecraft Education Edition just with the same domain users or whether they would be able to use it with anyone. As a system I think we are only able to use with our Western Australian education department domain users but I just wanted to be sure that this was the case. Our department has made MEE available through a curated store on school devices but we can download on our teacher notebooks used anywhere from the MEE downloads section of this website. It's complicated and we are trying to work through the logistics before further deployment. Thanks!
