MakerCode local location?
MY Year 6 students are having great fun with MC Edu, however I have noticed a few instances where they log on and their MakeCode area is empty. I assume this is despite networked logons the makecode files are saved locally to the machine and not carried across with their profile.
Does anyone know where the makecode files reside?
Thanks

Hello again,
Can I check, is this 100% the location of where the makecode is saved? (not exported)?
When my students log onto another computer it seems all there code is gone unless they export and import each time. If they use the same client it is there.
I have a couple of students who have found their code has vanished all together so trying to get to the bottom of it.
Thanks

Can you let me know if anything was done before their code went missing like an update to the computer or a change on their account? You may need to work with your IT department if the files have gone missing to see if a restore option is available. Hopefully you have a backup since you mention the export and import features. If not, some devices have restored points turned on which can revert your device to an earlier time and restore files.

Unfortunatly I have spoken to my school IT services team and apparently due to the save location they cannot have the save file synced to other clients if a student logs on another computer. Although that is a pain when having to re-room or change seating plans it is manageable, but the random students who's code disappeared is more worrying.
Technically all computers are the same so not sure how it could go missing on the odd computer but not others, IT services say it could have been corrupted somehow.
Seems a strange way / location to save the makecode file. I know you can export and import etc but it is a bit long winded when MCEE is designed for young learners.
