downloaded on mac, won't open

just downloaded this onto my 2013 macbook air and it refuses to open properly. whenever i open the app, the icon pops up in my dock, bounces for a bit and disappears. i then get an error message station "minecraft education edition quit unexpectedly" i have tried restarting my computer, and redownloading the app, but nothing seems to work. is my device uncompatible? or is this a problem with the app?

  just looked through that, 95% sure i fit all the requirements, i just don't know anything about processors. can the game run on a 1.3 GHz Intel Core i5?

  my computer runs the original game just fine, i dont know if the original minecraft is (i dont know the word in english) more advanced? and needs a better processor?

  Hi Oliver Leill,

  1.3GHz will most likely not be compatible. What Os version are you on?
