Using Minecraft to introduce students to Einsteinian Physics
I am a former (retired) physics teacher, curriculum developer and education administrator in Perth Western Australia working as a volunteer with the University of WA Physics Department to advance the teaching of Einstein physics in schools. Through family network and former teacher colleagues, I am very aware of the power of Minecraft as an educational tool in developing a range of children's skills, including their spacial capability. I would like to talk to someone at Minecraft, potentially a higher level executive who works in the development space, to ask whether Minecraft has considered extending the platform from what I will call Euclidean flat space (normal 1-D, 2-D and 3-D) to Gaussian curved space? If so, I would like to start a discussion about introducing children to curved space in the context of introductory Einsteinian physics (relativity)? More information about the Einstein-First project can be found at https://www.einsteinianphysics.com. I look forward to your response. My email is dandrwood@aapt.net.au.
