Unable to connect to world

Hello!
Since we started the process of remote education, we couldn't make multiplayer work. Recently we have tried opening ports on our student's routers but even two people with open ports couldn't connect to each other. We also tried restarting the game and joining right after the restart, creating a new world, etc. Nothing worked. Is there anything more we can do? When is the remote multiplayer going to be implemented?
