Can't find Minecraft download from Google Play store
Very happy with the latest news about the Beta for M:EE on Chromebooks. But I can't find the app in the Google Play Store. Has anyone a link to it?

Hi Martin van der Harst - this could be due to a couple of things.
- Make sure to search on the full name: "Minecraft Education Edition". The app doesn't show up if you only search on Minecraft
- If you are on a managed Chromebook, make sure your IT Admin has whitelisted the Minecraft: Education Edition app for your organization.
Check out the Getting started with Minecraft: Education Edition on the Chromebook and FAQ Minecraft: Education Edition Chromebook Beta (version 1.14) articles for more info.

Didn't realize I could post here instead of the feedback forum. The URL whitelisting part is not very well explained anywhere. Where does that whitelisting take place?

The info is in the Google guide: https://support.google.com/chrome/a/answer/7131624
Take a look at the section called "Install Android apps on Chrome devices". So besides the Beta being great for testing the app, we are testing out our documentation too! We are relying on the Google documentation to provide the details for setup and deployment. Let us know if our guide could be more helpful in getting you to this information.

Also realized you may be asking about the URL whitelisting, and not app whitelisting. The URL whitelisting is something an IT Admin would do on a school network, to ensure none of the URLs needed for Minecraft: Education Edition to access services are blocked.
If you are connecting from a home network, you will most likely not need to whitelist URLs.

Thanks for the info Carrie. I am the admin and on my home network. I've got the Play store installed my device and test student device and it's not showing up. The directions on the FAQ say that if the app isn't showing up that the URL's need to be whitelisted. But I shouldn't have to do that at home.

Nate, are the devices managed, and do you have access to the Google Admin console for your organization?

Devices managed and I do have access to the admin console.

Having the same issue for our district. I can find the Minecraft: Education Edition through the web-based store at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mojang.minecraftedu, but it is not showing within our GSuite Apps & extensions page.

Thanks for your patience and reports - we are looking into it.

Carrie,
If you need help testing it out on a G Suite EDU domain, I would be glad to try things for you. I am a Minecraft Global Mentor, Trainer, and work with several partners to teach Minecraft. I have full access to a G Suite EDU domain.

Thanks Nic Finelli! I'll definitely reach out if we need help validating.

When I use Marty Sharpe's link I get the notification:
"your administrator has not given you access to this application"1 -
Already did, but then I get the error when trying to download

CHARLIE ANDERSON if you are on a managed Chromebook, your IT Admin will need to activate Minecraft: Education Edition in your managed Play store. Check out this article for more information: https://aka.ms/meechromebook
