    Typically I found with Chromebooks that they aren't being turned off or restarted frequently, and as a result, they're not installing OS updates. After a while this causes some weird device behaviour. 

    I'd recommend (if you haven't already done so) restarting the device and making sure it applies OS updates. 

    If that doesn't solve the issue, it might be time for a powerwash.

    I think that the restart may be a factor in the bug. However, the device that had the bug was a managed one by a district and maybe might not be fully up to the current ChromeOS version. It was on the latest version given (ChromeOS 126.0.6478.252). Quick side note, on the topic of bugs, why not vote for a [link removed] tracker for MC: EE?
