Minecraft stuck at login screen Mac OS Sonoma 14.6.1 (MEd 1.21.05)

My screen is stuck at login. After reading a bunch of suggestions (https://edusupport.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/19663204388756-Minecraft-stuck-at-login-screen-Mac-OS-MEd-1-20-12?sort_by=votes), I deleted the resource pack as advised. It still doesn't work, but the music is playing. Any suggestions of the next steps to get it working?

  Great news! 
  The latest general availability update should resolve should resolve the crashing at launch issue on MacOS!
  This should be fixed for both users with, and without, filters.

  We've been experiencing the same problem for over a year now. No viable solution has ever been provided. Our students were extremely disappointed. We had to alter our plans because MEE was no longer an option. I thought I'd revisit to see if things had finally been worked out.

  I have been having the same problem for a while now and have eventually figured out some ways that should fix it:

  1. Create a new MacOS user and run the app from that user

  2. Download Find Any File (https://findanyfile.app), search for "minecraft-edu" and delete any folders that come up.
